Terms of Service
Effective date: 25 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between Technology Foundry S.A.E. (Commercial Register No. 281215, "we") and the company that subscribes to Sila ("you"). Sila is for businesses only. The person accepting these terms confirms they are authorised to do so for their company.
1. The service
Sila helps companies capture the knowledge of their experienced staff through AI-assisted interviews. It turns that knowledge into written procedures (SOPs) that the company reviews and publishes, and lets employees browse them and ask questions about them.
2. Accounts
- People join Sila by invitation.
- Your administrators manage who has access and what role each person has.
- You are responsible for the people you invite and for having the right to share your employees' data with us. See our Privacy Policy.
3. Subscription and payment
- Sila is sold as a monthly or annual subscription. Prices are in Egyptian pounds and shown on our pricing page excluding 14% VAT, which is added at checkout.
- You pay in advance by card through our payment provider, Paymob.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and the card on file is charged, until you cancel.
- If we change our prices, we will tell you at least 30 days before the new price applies to your subscription.
4. Cancelling and changing plan
- Your administrator can cancel at any time from the Billing page in Sila.
- After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period already paid for, and you are not charged again.
- To switch between monthly and annual, cancel and then subscribe to the other plan.
5. If a payment fails
- If a renewal payment fails, the card is retried automatically, and you have a 14-day grace period in which everything keeps working.
- If the subscription is still unpaid after 14 days, Sila's AI features are paused: knowledge-capture interviews, the question-answering assistant, and the AI setup helpers.
- During a pause you can still sign in, read your published procedures, manage your people, and pay.
- Everything switches back on as soon as payment succeeds.
- A pause does not delete your data.
6. Refunds
See our Refund Policy.
7. Your content
- You own the content you put into Sila and the procedures created from it.
- You allow us to store and process it only to provide Sila to you.
- We do not use your content to train AI models, and our AI providers do not either, under their business terms.
8. Your employees' personal data
- For personal data you put into Sila, your company decides how it is used, and we handle it on your behalf.
- We use it only to provide Sila, following these terms and the settings your administrators choose.
- The providers we use, and what each does, are listed in our Privacy Policy. We will update that list, and tell your administrators about important changes.
- Everyone at our company who can access your data is bound to keep it confidential.
- We will help you answer your employees' requests to see, correct or delete their data.
- If a security incident affects your data, we will tell you without undue delay, and within 48 hours of becoming aware of it.
- When the agreement ends, we delete your data as our Privacy Policy describes, or return it first if you ask (see "Ending the agreement").
9. Confidentiality
- Each of us will keep the other's confidential information private, use it only for this agreement, and share it only with staff and providers who need it and are bound to keep it confidential.
- Your content in Sila is your confidential information.
- This does not cover information that becomes public through no fault of the party that received it, or that the law requires to be disclosed.
10. AI-generated content
- Sila uses AI to write, translate and answer, and AI can make mistakes.
- Procedures are reviewed and approved by people at your company before publishing, and you are responsible for what you publish.
- Answers from the assistant should be checked against the published procedure, especially where safety is involved.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law using Sila;
- try to access other companies' data or break Sila's security;
- resell Sila without our written agreement.
12. Availability and support
- We work to keep Sila available and secure, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted.
- Support: kenzy@thefoundry.run / +20 127 736 6620, Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 to 18:00 Cairo time.
13. Liability
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits.
- Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- These limits do not apply to fraud or gross negligence, or to any liability the law does not allow us to limit.
14. Ending the agreement
- You can end the agreement by cancelling your subscription.
- We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously broken.
- We will not end the agreement for non-payment until the subscription has been unpaid for at least 60 days, and we have warned your administrator by email at least 14 days before.
- After the agreement ends, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, and you can ask us to delete it sooner.
- Up to 30 days after the agreement ends, your administrator can ask us for a copy of your published procedures, and we will send it in a common file format.
15. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date above and tell our clients about important changes before they apply.
16. Other agreements and languages
- If your company has signed a separate agreement with us for Sila, that agreement prevails where it differs from these terms.
- These terms are published in Arabic and English. If the two versions differ, the Arabic version prevails.
17. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The courts of Cairo have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
